DRAWING CERTIFICATION

COURSE ADVERT FLYER

In December of 2018, Studio Mortimer graduated 18 students from its varying drawing courses and embarked on a painting course for those students who had already completed the 6 months drawing fundamentals course. Of this we are very proud, not only for accomplishing this milestone but for our students who have improved significantly.

We also had during the course of 2018, two students who engaged in portrait drawing at two events, drawing on the spot and doing so with confidence. Two additional students participated in the Art/Craft fair put on by the Jamaican Association of Potters. The were the talk of the fair and were privileged to have interviews with the CVM Television Media. The Gleaner also has set up meetings to do features on the two students of Studio Mortimer.

The NCTVET Drawing Course is the first of its kind in Jamaica and will facilitate students who do not matriculate for our colleges, but who are talented in art making. The will also be able to access work abroad once they complete and pass the NCTVET Assessment of the Drawing Fundamentals Course.

The year was a good one for STUDIO MORTIMER.
